TEVA is a unique concept developed by its founding members, guitarist Moshe Antelis, bassist, Ephraim Schwab, and keyboardist Zvi Lampert, accomplished musicians, composers and arrangers with a broad range of musical influences and a global consciousness. The band’s sound is an eclectic blend of funk, fusion, rock, jazz, R&B, Latin, Middle Eastern, worldbeat and rap, with clever and soulful lyrics, colorful and imaginative instrumentalism and Teva’s signature live jam-band feel. Teva’s long awaited latest release Call From Above, features lead singers Michael Ian Elias (Shlomo Carlebach, Eddie Money and Cher) and Tom Bowes (lead singer for Tower of Power and Funk Philharmonic) as well as a host of world class guest talent. This album brings home Teva’s message of spiritual redemption, personal responsibility and universal brotherhood, clothed in a wide variety of contemporary musical genres.
Reality Addiction; a New Jersey based band will be bringing their alt rock sound to this year’s festival. Soulfarm returns to our festival this year, with their potent sound that screams originality as it weaves a wide range of influences, like a fine musical tapestry from authentic Jam, Blues and Rock n Roll, with threads of Middle Eastern melodies. Eclectic and soulful, Soulfarm delivers it all! Pulsating percussion, dancing rhythms and gripping guitar leads, that force the listener to not only hear, but to become the music. Having opened for acts as diverse as Bruce Hornsby, Norah Jones, The Wailers, George Clinton, Gov’t Mule, and Mickey Hart, their show is bound to delight.
Moshe Hecht Band Born into a Chassidic family trailing generations of Rabbis, Moshe Hecht grew up striving to define himself while staying true to his faith. He turned to singing and songwriting to put the pieces together. Moshe’s music draws inspiration from folk, rock, reggae and Chassidic melodies. His lyrics are poetic, honest, and confident, complimented by a voice that is aged with a depth, wisdom and passion beyond his 23 years. Moshe considers his music a tool for communicating elevating ideas and lessons. His barrier-breaking live performances are a dynamic interplay of singing, storytelling, insight and humor that have already warmed audiences of every calling. The dream, he says, is “to inspire people to connect with their roots in a natural yet powerful way.”
